Audrey Azad | Sales Representative
Real estate has been my passion for over 20 years. I live, eat and breathe real estate! There's nothing more rewarding than a happy client. I can't believe I get to spend my days finding my clients their dream home, or selling their existing home at a profit they never imagined. It's so enjoyable that it's not work!
Clients value my in-depth knowledge of the market, strong negotiation and communication skills, constant availability, sound advice, integrity and my ability to "tell it like it is". As a listing agent, my use of technology and internet-based marketing, as well as my experience with staging and design, have established me as an industry leader.
I also invest in the market I service. I've renovated and landscaped seven of my own homes. These renovations have varied in degree, from complete reconstructions to renovating kitchens, bathrooms, and putting in a pool. I currently own commercial and income properties, and have extensive knowledge of the laws and financial implications of this type of investment.
My real estate awards reflect an artful combination of real estate experience and knowledge, with signature service and the commitment of a professional who really cares.
I was born in Calgary, lived in Switzerland for 4 years and moved to Toronto permanently after graduating from the University of Calgary with a Major in French and Kinesiology. I worked for a major airline for 15 years, in both unionized and management positions. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to visit so many places and learn so many things. However, over the years, I discovered that I liked to work independently and find creative solutions and better ways of doing things, which wasn't exactly encouraged in a corporate environment. I obtained my real estate license in 1997 and never looked back!
I have boundless energy (as I've been told many times by my clients and colleagues) and when I'm not working in real estate, I enjoy scuba diving, running (I even ran a marathon and finished 3 millionth!), golfing (Brent is mean and makes me play from the blue tees when we play), swimming, rollerblading, billiards, cycling, tennis and squash.
I have a passion for food and wine. I completed the level 2 course to become a sommelier. I admit I did it for the free wine, and frankly, I don't remember most of it except that it was lots of fun!
I enjoy books, travel, photography, music and film. I also have a penchant for architecture, design and interior decorating. I would have liked to be the child of Frank Lloyd Wright and Martha Stewart, but things didn't quite go according to plan. So now I get to satisfy my passion by staging everyone else's home!
I also love to travel, which has taught me many things: an appreciation for architecture and natural beauty, to recognize that great things come in a variety of packages, to trust myself and others when faced with challenging situations, and finally, to realize that Toronto is a beautiful place to call home.
My travels include: Russia, Morocco, Guatemala, India, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Peru, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Easter Island, Mexico, Thailand, Egypt, Kenya, Mali, Hong Kong, Fiji, Bora, Bora, Tahiti, Mauritius, Dubai, Singapore, Tanzania, Nepal, Belize, Honduras, Chile, South Africa, Venezuela, France, Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Holland, Spain, Belgium, England, Ireland, Greece, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos, St. Marten, the Bahamas and the U.S.
